Cody Kittleman, world’s leader of flats grand slams, has caught close to 150 permit, many over 20 pounds, all while fly fishing on the flats of the Caribbean.
He loves the thrill and excitement of watching tarpon sky rocketing out of the water when they feel the fly in their mouths and the line come tight.
He’s caught, and released, many tarpon that were over 150 pounds, with his best being a magnificent fish weighing in at well over 200 pounds. This fish had survived a shark attack sometime during his long lifetime at sea. Released by Cody, he is likely still feasting on squid and mullet somewhere out in the beautiful waters!
